Transport

How to reach to Taksim (location of hotels proposed) from the airport:

You could use Havaş services to go from Atatürk Airport to the city center, Taksim (Go to the Havaş Ground Handling Co. website for more information).

How to reach Istanbul Technical University (ITU - location of tutorial):

Everyday there will be a shuttle service between Hotel Lamartine and ITU. You can find more detailed information about shuttle schedule under Meeting Information part. In case you miss the shuttle, take the metro from Taksim to 4.Levent (Dorduncu Levent), then take a taxi from 4.Levent (Dorduncu Levent) to Maslak. Dorduncu Levent and Maslak are close places.

Taxi prices:

Day time:
Boarding charge is 1.50 YTL.
For every one kilometre: 1.00 YTL.
waiting, after the first five minutes: 0.20 YTL. per minute

Night charges:
Boarding charge is 2.25 YTL.
For every one kilometre:1.50.YTL
waiting,after the first five minutes: 0.30 YTL. per minute

NOTE: Be careful with the taxies! You should make sure that the taxi driver is using the taximeter.

1 Euro is about 2.02 YTL.
1 US Dollar is about 1.59 YTL.
